I am different when I give freedom, and when I give choice
I am different when I give encouragement instead of criticism
I am different when I don’t compare and when I don’t weird-shame
I am different when I am warm, kind, when I cheer and when I cry
But specially I am different when I say sorry
I am different when I teach the world is not fair, but I still do the best to get what is her right and what is right for her
I am different when I fight for her to be supported, even though I can’t fight to support myself
I am different when I try to make the world a little easier to understand
I am different when I don’t force, when I don’t control, and when I don’t manipulate
I am different when I nurture myself, because this way I am sure I’ll be able to nurture her
I am different when I teach self-love and pride
I am different from her in all of that, and I am different from you too
I am different when I am genuinely with her, and I am different when I don’t lose her
I am so different because as soon as I realized my flaws as a human, I did work to make a change.
And I know I can’t be perfect, but for her it worth to try.
