I was introduced to MBTI by a friend who already had a very mature view over 16 personalities, being able to explain me why it popularized the way it did. Through an interview this same friend typed me as INFJ, and explained everything about my type during the session. I had good understanding over it and my MBTI type has been very consistent, and close friends agree to it. Of course some of the descriptions found on internet go all over the place and makes this personality sound like a rare unicorn, while it\u2019s actually quite common, at least around the internet. I\u2019ve analyzed the functions myself, and it makes sense to me inside this definitions of this system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grant\/Browsword is in my opinion the most reliable way to measure your cognitive functions and to build your specific function stack. It unfortunately won\u2019t give you a type description as the variables are too many, but you can definitely catch the idea from the functions descriptions. I believe this is a much easier way to measure when you have good knowledge of your self and use your self-awareness. I still haven\u2019t gotten deep in Grant\/Brownsword, but it\u2019s definitely the next theory I\u2019ll be diving in! 99% confidence is because I know myself and I know I might be wrong about myself in some shape, way or form. But it\u2019s a very low possibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know, self types aren\u2019t really credited, but I\u2019ve done deep analysis and studied the system, triangulated the most possible types, and with help of family and friends I narrowed down to the closest description, which is IEI INFp! Again, no system could be 100% right on every single word of the type descriptions, but I feel like this description fits me quite well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the process of waiting for my OPS type back I did found this couple Carma and her partner which I can\u2019t recall the name, but they have done an interview with me to help me figuring out my enneagram type. The interview went nicely and I got the results I usually get when I do online tests. One of the tests I have done recently gave a different results, but after deep thought and analysis I understand that type 9w1 is a better fit for me (or at least fits better than the type 4). The 9 description gives me a glance on how my psyche works in a specific angle, and I can tell I relate to mostly everything on 9\u2019s description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process to be typed in this system is very exclusive and expensive. I decided to leave my typing video available to the OPS community as well, and I have to be honest and say that the experience was okay, and I\u2019ll talk about it in my next post. I sent a one hour video and paid around CAD$200 to be officially typed, waited about 30 days and got my type back! I took some time to process everything, all the individual definitions and concepts, and only the individual ones because they haven\u2019t created specific definitions for each one of the 2048 types yet, but in the audio Dave Powers recorded to me, he said he is working on the profiles. Until then I unfortunately cannot give my broad opinion. But what I can say by now is: Comparing to other people of the same type I can see a lot of similarities, but I can also see the points where we differ. I don\u2019t think that there are another type that fits me better inside OPS, but I also do not believe that it is the system that better defined my cognition. Decider<\/em>, social type 4<\/em> and Consume<\/em> definitions are the ones that fits me the least. If you put them together you can have a grasp from the incongruity, but it\u2019s far to define my mental process. I\u2019ll do post on it soon and link it up here. I was also typed as double masculine, but it just sounded like a joke to wear masculine sensory shoes for a period of time just to \u201ctry it out\u201d. I’m definitely not compatible with the masculine sensor descriptions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
